A partnership between two national leaders in wellness is setting the new standard in advancing academic and professional development in health and wellness coaching.

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is considered the birthplace of wellness, establishing the first college degree wellness program in the world. UW-Stevens Point became the first degree program in the U.S. to be accredited by the National Wellness Institute in 2010. The National Wellness Institute was founded at UW-Stevens Point and still maintains a close relationship with our academic program.

The National Wellness Institute enriches professionals’ lives and careers with competencies and connections to promote inclusive multi–dimensional wellness through its membership, annual National Wellness Conference, Certified Wellness Practitioner credential and diverse educational offerings.

“As a current NWI member, I was drawn to this certificate program because of the partnership. Then as I looked into the intriguing class descriptions more and saw that it’s possible to accomplish in a short amount of time, I was all in.”
