Campus Wide Scholarships are administered by various UW-Stevens Point offices. If you have any questions about these scholarships, please contact the individual listed below.

There may be additional scholarships available through your major's department. Please visit the Scholarship Directory to find links to this information.

NOTICE: The UWSP Foundation will not release any scholarship dollars until a thank-you note has been written to the appropriate individual. When selected for a scholarship, you will be given information on how to fulfill this requirement.

Alumni Generations Scholarship

Application Deadline:

  • March 31 of each year, for award the following academic year

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Any current or incoming UW-Stevens Point student who is related by blood, adoption, or other legal means to a graduate of UW-Stevens Point
  • Must submit application form
  • Must write a brief (approx. 300 words) essay about how your Pointer relatives impacted you in a positive way
  • Preference given to freshmen, but all class levels are eligible
  • Preference given to applicants with multiple related alumni
  • This award may be received multiple times, but will go to a new recipient each year if possible

This award was established through a donation from the Allen Barrows Estate. Al Barrows was a UW-Stevens Point Alumni Board member from 1974 until 2008. He served on the Awards and Recognition Committee. He was a member of the Phi Sig Fraternity and spent time as resident of Nelson Hall.
  

Apollo Alumni Association Scholarship

Application Deadline

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Tau Kappa Epsilon initiation from any campus.

    Mickey Fitch Scholarship

Application Deadline:

  • February 15 of each year, for award the following academic year

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Any current UW-Stevens Point student who has worked to improve the diversity climate on campus and/or within the broader community
  • GPA of 2.75 or above
  • Demonstrated commitment to issues of social justice, inclusive excellence and diversity
  • Preference may be given to members of the Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) and/or a student living in the residence halls
  • Must submit application form
  • Must write an essay no more than 500 words (see application form for writing prompt)

Mickey created this scholarship for students who demonstrate a commitment to creating pathways for success for students of a diverse or underrepresented background in the UWSP community.
     
 

Gordon M. Haferbecker Antigo High School Scholarship

  • Antigo High School graduate
  • Financial need
  • GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Demonstrated leadership and community service
  • Preference to incoming freshman, but eligible continuing students may also apply

Liberal Arts Essay Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This competition is open to any UWSP undergraduate student in good academic standing who has completed a minimum of 30 credits by the end of the previous fall semester, and who has at least one semester remaining (the following fall semester) as a full-time undergraduate student

Robert Mosier Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements

  • UWSP graduating senior
  • Pursuing a career in Student Affairs
  • Actively involved in Residential Living for at least two years in any combination of the following roles: Community Advisor (CAA), Assistant to the Director, Hall/House leader, RHA Executive, Academic Resource Coordinator (ARC) or Conduct Board member
  • GPA of 2.75 or higher

The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point University Housing program has a strong, positive impact on
countless students as well as professional staff. This scholarship was started by past UWSP Hall Directors for graduating seniors interested in the Student Affairs field. This scholarship is dedicated to Dr. Bob Mosier, who's commitment to student development, education, and self-discovery as well as his long-term tenure at UWSP impacted many students and staff.
 

National Residence Hall Scholarship

  • Actively involved in the residence halls
  • Returning to the residence halls in the following semester

  • Full-time statues (12 or more credits)
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Financial need
  • Extra curricular activities, club/organization involvement, recent volunteer activities, current and prior employment, and other grants or scholarships received during the past academic year will be considered

  • GPA of 3.5 or higher

  • Participation in university and community activities
  • Special skills/contributions that benefit UWSP

Siasefi Scholarship

  • In good academic standing
