The UWSP Foundation serves the university by enhancing educational programs and activities, while functioning as a separate support organization to the university. We receive charitable contributions from you and assure your donations are kept separate from public funds, are invested in a prudent manner, and are applied as you specify.

I'm a Pointer

To highlight the impact our supporters have on education, the UWSP Foundation placed the spotlight on four students who are proud to say “I’m a Pointer.” Representing each of the university’s four colleges, the students talk about their experience both inside and outside the classroom and recognize the importance of giving back to the university to ensure academic success for all Pointers.

After you view it, please share it with your friends on Facebook and Twitter using the hashtag #ISUPPORTUWSP.

Founders Day 2014

On July 17, the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point hosted Founders Day 2014, a community event celebrating philanthropy, service and 120 years of helping communities thrive. And an anniversary for a 120 year milestone would be nothing without a celebratory cake -- thankfully Chancellor Patterson always knows how to handle a crisis!
Congratulations again to our outstanding awardees:
   Marcus and Constance Fang
The William C. Hansen Distinguished Service Award
   Ministry Saint Michael’s Hospital
      The Milestone Award
   Arthur and Jane Pejsa
The Dorothy K. Vallier Philanthropy Award
   Dorothy Kopmeier Vallier
      UW-Stevens Point Hall of Fame

The Worth Family may be well known for the Worth Manufacturing Company, which produces fishing tackle components for tackle manufacturers, but UWSP alumni Robert (Bob), and Marilyn Worth are also known for their philanthropy and volunteerism. MORE

Dr. Helen Godfrey exemplified a giving spirit by supporting UWSP and serving her community. Soon after Helen arrived here, she knew “this was it.” She had offers elsewhere, even at a big 10 university, but chose to stay here. “I thought I’d only stay about five years.” despite the fact that she “loved every minute of it.” MORE
