Creative Writing Minor

The Creative Writing minor can equip you to think, write and perhaps even perform more creatively. American—indeed international--employers seek out individuals with creative perspectives, and what you learn in the Creative Writing courses—the ability to write, revise, study and workshop stories and poems as well as engage in small group activities designed to build on your creative impulses—will help you in whatever major you choose to pursue. Careers our majors have landed involve teaching, professional writing, journalism, copyediting and continuing study in graduate school.

Consists of 24 credits beyond the General Education Composition requirement.
