Messages to Students

What do you enjoy most about teaching?

I like working with students to help them achieve their goals in writing and critical thinking.  If I can introduce them to authors, films, and ideas that open new worlds for them, I am especially pleased.

What do you want students gain from your teaching?

I want them to become better readers and writers and to engage in lively, thoughtful understanding of the many different kinds of texts in our world.
