Application Process

Please note, however, that each scholarship describes specific qualifications that applicants must meet in order to be considered for an award.
Students interested in applying for scholarships must complete the online School of Education Scholarship Application by the deadline, 5:00pm on Sunday, January 17, 2021. One confidential reference form must also be completed by a university faculty, staff, or campus employer by the deadline. Late applications will not be considered.

Students studying abroad during the spring semester are encouraged to submit a scholarship application and essay. Students abroad should follow the same requirements as listed above.
Selection Process
The School of Education Awards Committee will meet to select the award winners, using the following criteria:
- Application information
- Essay quality
- Financial need
- Reference quality
- Cumulative Grade Point Average
Award winners will be notified by March 2021 and will be invited to attend the School of Education Celebration of Teaching and Learning Reception on Monday, April 26, 2021, at the UWSP Main Campus. At this time, we anticipate holding an in-person event. Nearer the date, safety concerns may lead us to cancel. The winners will receive the actual scholarship in fall 2021.
