Winter Tree Identification

Instructors: Rich Hauer and Holly Petrillo

Identifying trees without their leaves can be difficult. However, knowing how to use their twigs, buds, and bark can make it a lot easier. In this program, we will cover winter tree identification through a combination of presentations, in-field tree identification, and twig identification practice. Join us as we dive into winter tree identification and refresh your skills with:

  • dichotomous keys,

  • applying key terminology to identify trees and twigs, and

  • identifying trees by bark, twig, and buds.

A tentative agenda is coming soon!

Target Audience
This workshop is designed for individuals with basic tree identification skills.
