The Presidential Purple and Gold award was established to recognize dedicated students for their
commitment to academic excellence.

Presidential: having a bearing or demeanor befitting of a president (i.e. dignified and confident).

At this time, all Presidential Scholarships for Fall 2022 have been awarded. 

Eligibility:

• Investing in your purpose, these scholarships are awarded to applicants at the time of admission to UW-Stevens Point (Main Campus). Presidential Scholarships are automatic awards at the time of admission (no separate application required) for incoming fall 2022 first-year students (while funding is available). For students who are unable to submit their ACT/SAT scores, their GPA will still be reviewed for eligibility by the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. 

Policy:

• Must remain continuously enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits at the time of disbursal.

Disbursement Terms:

• The Presidential Purple Scholarship will be disbursed at $1,000 over four consecutive semesters applied to the outstanding tuition balance at the start of each semester (Fall/Spring) as long as the appropriate criteria for eligibility and awarding are met.
  
• The Presidential Gold Scholarship will be disbursed at $500 over four consecutive semesters applied to the outstanding tuition balance at the start of each semester (Fall/Spring) as long as the appropriate criteria for eligibility and awarding are met.
