The University of Wisconsin--Stevens Point went from purple and gold to pink Wednesday to raise money and spread awareness for breast cancer.
A street that cuts across campus, Fourth Ave., was renamed "Pink Street" and was filled with activities, giveaways and games. There was a stand to buy t-shirts and another for juicy brats. One of the games made you feel like a football player where you could throw a football into a pink trash can from far away. As it isn't easy, those who were successful won a prize.
The football team wore pink jerseys. The Pointers will wear the jerseys again for their big game at Goerke Park on Saturday.
