The Executive Chef at UW Stevens Point could soon be named one of the top university chefs in the nation. Chef Angel Alcantar is headed to Michigan this weekend to compete in the National Association of College and University Food Service's 2014 Culinary Challenge.
The competition gives college chefs an ingredient and they must prepare a full meal using the item within a one hour time span. This year's ingredient is lobster. Chef Alcantar will prepare a gazpacho, lobster jicama salad, and lobster corn fritters.
