Christine Thomas, long-time dean of the College of Natural Resources at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, has been elected to the Ducks Unlimited's national board of directors.

Ducks Unlimited Inc. is the world's largest non-profit organization dedicated to conserving North America's continually disappearing waterfowl habitats. Established in 1937, Ducks Unlimited has conserved more than 13 million acres thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters across the continent.

Thomas, of Plover, became a member of the 20-member board during the organization's annual convention held recently in Milwaukee. She joins Bob Spoerl of Waupaca, a UWSP alumnus.
