Stevens Point downtown discussed at UW-Stevens Point workshop on city planning

This will be the year local residents see the effects of Stevens Point’s downtown redevelopment project, city officials said.

That’s one of many points that came out during a panel session Wednesday at “The Built Environment: Planning and Design in Small Cities and Towns,” a workshop at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Dozens of attendees listened to former Stevens Point City Planning Director William Burke talk about building CenterPoint MarketPlace and current city Development Director Michael Ostrowski talk about tearing it down.
