Matt Schiessl, 22, of Beloit took his trumpeting talents to the land where dreams come true to be a member of the 21-piece All-American College Band at the Disneyland Resort.
Schiessl, who has played the trumpet for 12 years, is studying jazz studies and applied trumpet at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. This past summer, he spent 11 weeks with the All-American College Band at Disneyland. Two weeks were used to learn the music and choreography, and the band performed for the remaining nine weeks — five days per week, five times per day.
