If you think you know who assassinated President John F. Kennedy, David Wrone will tell you that you are wrong.

As the nation today marks the 50th anniversary of the death of Kennedy in Dallas, Wrone said he believes only two main facts about that fatal day. First, Lee Harvey Oswald did not shoot the president. Second, there is no concrete evidence pointing to any one person or group who committed the crime.

Wrone, who taught history at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point for three decades and is now an emeritus professor at the school, has been studying the assassination since it happened on Nov. 22, 1963, while he was a student at the University of Illinois. Wrone is a member of the Assassination Records Review Board, which released documents from the JFK shooting during the 1990s, and he has spoken extensively on the subject throughout the United States.
