The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point has been recognized for its sustainable cleaning practices, helping save money, reduce waste and enhance cleaning.
The Academic Custodial unit earned GreenGuard certification through Diversey, a Sturtevant manufacturer that provides the university's commercial cleaning solutions. GreenGuard is an air quality standard set for manufacturers.
The certification is twofold, said Tammy Larson, an Academic Custodial supervisor. “GreenGuard goes a step further than just using green products,” she said. “Twice a year, staff members are trained to use green cleaning processes as well.”
