By Chancellor Bernie Patterson

I was so proud earlier this month to hear Pointer alumna Xiao Fang tell high school students how much she enjoyed her time at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and how it changed her life. Now a Microsoft program manager for Greater China, she was speaking to students at Ningbo Foreign Language School in China.

UWSP has had a relationship with Chinese families for more than 30 years. We currently have 105 students from China, nearly half of our total international student enrollment of 214.

Students from 32 countries enrich our classrooms, our campus and community. They help us better understand the world in which we live, an essential trait in this global economy.
