Like father, like son, as the old adage goes. A 2009 Necedah High School graduate is following in his father’s footsteps.

The two are walking on the same path in a career as Wisconsin conservation wardens. Matthew Weber and his son Michael Weber have studied at the same college and received the same degree. They’re both driven by the same appreciation of the vast Wisconsin outdoors.

Since Mike Weber was in kindergarten, he said he has wanted to be a conservation warden like his dad. Matt Weber, a Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Warden since 1990, has been assigned to the northern Juneau County area since 1993.
