A series of
events that invites audiences to explore their sensory awareness and perception
is being offered at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
“The
Perception Project” is part of the 10th annual College of Fine Arts and
Communication’s COFAC Creates series. The following events are offered to the
public free of charge:
- Thursday, April 3 – Professor Dona Warren, philosophy,
presents “Doing Philosophy, Telling Stories, and…” at 7:30 p.m. in Noel Fine
Arts Center Room 221. In this informal session, Warren will lead the audience
through a reflection on the nature and function of philosophy, storytelling,
friendship, perception and identity. A winner of the Excellence in Teaching
Award and UW System Regents Teaching Excellence Award, Warren has taught at
UW-Stevens Point since 1995.
- Thursday, April 10 – Assistant Professor Alex Ingersoll,

with vague perceptions of time and space. His teaching and research revolves
around the theory, history, criticism and production of film, television and
video to new digital platforms. Ingersoll has taught at UW-Stevens Point since
2013.
