A program that partners parents and students to work together on mathematics understanding and concepts is again being offered through the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point Continuing Education and Outreach.

The Math and Parent Partners (MAPPS) program will run at the UW-Stevens Point Science Building A338 on Thursday evenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Oct. 2-Nov. 20. These sessions are for parents and students in fourth through eighth grade. Younger children who attend are offered math-based activities in a nearby room.

Families may attend the series for $12 or for $5 per person. A pizza dinner is served during the sessions. Course credit is available for the adults who attend.

Seats are still available for these fall sessions. For information and registration, contact Diana Wilcott at UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education and Outreach at 715-346-4713 or go to www.uwsp.edu/conted/ConfWrkShp/Pages/mapps.aspx.
