An evening of visual art, design, dance and theater experiences at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point will feature special guest emcee alumna Andrea Boehlke of CBS’s “Survivor.”

Arts Bash 2014 will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m., featuring student dance and theater performances, an art sale, the ever-popular wearable sculpture show, art demonstrations, and fine food and drinks. The primary fundraiser for the Departments of Theatre and Dance and Art and Design, Arts Bash has raised more than $250,000 for student scholarships and programs since its inception in 2003.

A sale of donated artworks by professional artists, faculty, alumni and current students from the Department of Art and Design begins at 7 p.m., followed by student performances at 7:30 p.m. A dance party will begin around 9:30 p.m. with the event ending at 10:30 p.m. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, desserts, wine and beer will be served, and a cash bar will be available. Guests are encouraged to wear expressive attire.

In addition to hosting Arts Bash, Boehlke will offer a master class to UW-Stevens Point theatre students Friday, Jan. 31. A 2011 alumna of the Theatre and Dance Department, she competed in two seasons of “Survivor,” has co-hosted “The Better Show” and is a fashion blogger for Nu-Mode magazine. A Wisconsin native, Boehlke currently resides in New York City.

Tickets are $50 in advance at www.artsbash.com or $75 at the door. For more information, contact Bobbie Erwin at 715-346-3956 or berwin@uwsp.edu. Event photos and links also are on the UW-Stevens Point College of Fine Arts and Communication Facebook page.
