LONDON Internship Notes:
There is a special application for the Internship in Britain program; use this form for both summer and semester-length programs. In addition, here is IMPORTANT information on London internship preparatory work:TABLE of important internship dates for all 3 terms1.pdf Tier 4 VISAs are required for the placements and UWSP International Programs will help you get one; be aware, however, that any criminal record involving a custodial term of more than three days in the last five years will disqualify you from admittance to the program as the British government will not grant you a VISA.
Short-term Programs Note:
Short-term programs applications must include a $250 deposit with the application. (deposit is returned if applicant is not accepted).
Teaching in Japan Note:
UWSP Students applying to teach in Japan should come by the International Programs Office for the additional form needed to apply for this program. You can also see it: Japan Summer Description and Application 2013.pdf
All students applying for semester long programs are strongly encouraged to attend a pre-acceptance meeting (PAM). A variety of pertinent issues will be discussed in detail. A PowerPoint presentation and an extensive question and answer period will make up the scheduled meeting. (Often potential participants wish to share the PowerPoint with their family and friends. Please request a recent copy of the PAM PowerPoint if you'd like.)
Sessions are planned throughout the term . They are held in Collins Classroom Center, RM 104. A schedule is here:PRE-ACCEPTANCE MEETING NOTICE 2013-2014 PROGRAMS CURRENT.pdf
