Greetings UW-Stevens Point meal plan participants, 

The new state-of-the-art DeBot Dining Center will open in spring 2020, and we are so excited for you to enjoy all of its many new offerings and the renovated interior! Both dining options in the DeBot Dining Center will open for dinner at 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. 

The center will house two dining options: Upper Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat meal experience, featuring seven themed stations with a variety of food choices prepared in front of you. Lower Marketplace will include retail dining, a convenience store, and three themed food stations. Both will have new ways to use your declining balance all Dawg Dollars meal plan during the spring 2020 semester. 

Based on feedback from a recent dining survey and leadership decisions, here are a few changes: 

How to use your meal plan at Upper: 

• There will be three meal periods on weekdays and two meal periods on weekend days. 
• You may use your Dawg Dollars (DD) at Upper for all meal periods. Breakfast will cost $5.50 DD, lunch/brunch will cost $6.75 DD, and dinner will cost $7.75 DD. Eating three meals at Upper will cost you only $20 per weekday. Carry-outs will not be allowed.
  

How to use your meal plan at Lower: 

• Use your Dawg Dollars to purchase made-to-order foods from the food stations, Fujisan Sushi, groceries in our designated Dawg Dollar shopping area and packaged grab-and-go items produced by our dining team.
• Select retail groceries and bottled beverages not produced by UWSP Dining are not available for meal plan purchases. The reduced cost for these items is in response to concerns from the survey. These items may be purchased with PointCash, cash or debit/credit. 

Other changes and notes for the spring 2020 semester: 

• The DUC Food Court’s operating hours will change with the reopening of the DeBot Dining Center. There will be lunch service Monday – Thursday. Three station offerings will rotate weekly and the salad bar will be available daily.

This follows up on an email sent on October 12, 2020, to document your plans from Thanksgiving break through the end of the semester. The information has been updated regarding housing and dining since then. Students who choose to go home/elsewhere will receive the below refund/credit amount based on their current fall 2020 room assignment and dining meal plan, providing they have vacated their room by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25.

We need your final plans for the end of the fall 2020 semester as soon as possible. You MUST submit your FINAL plans in your UWSP Housing Portal by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, November 11. Failure to provide your plans by this date will result in NO refund. 

To enter your plan, log into the UWSP Housing Portal and select the "Interim/Break Housing" process and select to submit your "End of Semester (Fall 2020) Plans".

Students who VACATE their rooms by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, and do not return for the remainder of the fall semester:

• You do not need to move out belongings unless you are not coming back to UW-Stevens Point for the spring semester; however, you will need to turn in their key and Saflok (Instructions on that process will be coming).
• You will be eligible for housing and dining refunds as detailed below, based on your current housing assignment and chosen meal plan, or remaining meal plan balance, whichever is less.
• All refunds will be credited to your fall 2020 university bill. If you have an outstanding balance on your account, your refund will be credited to pay/lower your outstanding bill. If your student bill is paid in full, your refund will be processed by Student Financial Services.

Students who CHOOSE TO STAY on campus at any point (even for one day) after 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, or do not vacate by 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25:

• will NOT receive a housing refund of any monetary amount.
• Will continue to have an active meal plan through lunch on December 18, 2020. Dining operations will be limited, and location operating hours will be based on the number of students choosing to remain on campus. After December 18, 2020, up to $200 Dawg Dollars will rollover with a purchase of an active meal plan in the spring 2021 semester.

• What is the contract term? Can I stay in my suite during breaks?

• Contracts are for the entire academic year. Suites@201 residents will be able to stay in their suite during academic year breaks (Thanksgiving, winter, and spring) at no additional cost; availability of winter break housing is tied to having an active/valid contract for the spring semester. 

• What is the cost?
  

• Information about costs can be found here. Billing is submitted by the semester via your student account on your first fall UWSP bill and on your first spring UWSP bill. 
  

• Is a meal plan required?
  

• Students residing in the Suites@201 are not required to have a meal plan if they are two (2) or more years out of high school. However, if eligibility is extended to those individuals one (1) year out of high school, participation in a meal plan is required. See "Who can live in the Suites@201?" for more information about eligibility.

• Information about the meal plans is available through Dining Services. 

• Are suites co-ed?
  

• The Suites@201 offer a gender-inclusive (also known as gender-neutral) living option. No student will be assigned to a gender-inclusive suite unless they have requested this option. 

• Gender-inclusive housing allows same-gender roommates, opposite-gender roommates, or other gender-identity roommate pairings, regardless of physical sexual characteristics. 

• Individuals selecting gender-inclusive (gender-neutral) housing will sign a specialty living agreement form that outlines specific expectations for individuals in these suites.

• Who can live in the Suites@201? 
  

• If you graduated from high school two or more years ago, you are eligible to apply for residency in Suites@201 (e.g. for 2021-21, you must have graduated high school in 2018 or earlier). 
  

• If available in the Suites@201 remains in February, Residential Living MAY extend eligibility to those individuals who have graduated from high school one year ago. Information regarding further eligibility will be emailed to all on-campus residents in February.

The new state-of-the-art DeBot Dining Center will open in spring 2020, and we are so excited for you to enjoy all of its many new offerings and the renovated interior! Both dining options in the DeBot Dining Center will open for dinner at 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. 

The center will house two dining options: Upper Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat meal experience, featuring seven themed stations with a variety of food choices prepared in front of you. Lower Marketplace will include retail dining, a convenience store, and three themed food stations. Both will have new ways to use your declining balance all Dawg Dollars meal plan during the spring 2020 semester. 

Based on feedback from a recent dining survey and leadership decisions, here are a few changes: 

How to use your meal plan at Upper: 

• There will be three meal periods on weekdays and two meal periods on weekend days. 
• You may use your Dawg Dollars (DD) at Upper for all meal periods. Breakfast will cost $5.50 DD, lunch/brunch will cost $6.75 DD, and dinner will cost $7.75 DD. Eating three meals at Upper will cost you only $20 per weekday. Carry-outs will not be allowed.
  

How to use your meal plan at Lower: 

• Use your Dawg Dollars to purchase made-to-order foods from the food stations, Fujisan Sushi, groceries in our designated Dawg Dollar shopping area and packaged grab-and-go items produced by our dining team.
• Select retail groceries and bottled beverages not produced by UWSP Dining are not available for meal plan purchases. The reduced cost for these items is in response to concerns from the survey. These items may be purchased with PointCash, cash or debit/credit.

• The DUC Food Court’s operating hours will change with the reopening of the DeBot Dining Center. There will be lunch service Monday – Thursday. Three station offerings will rotate weekly and the salad bar will be available daily.

This follows up on an email sent on October 12, 2020, to document your plans from Thanksgiving break through the end of the semester. The information has been updated regarding housing and dining since then. Students who choose to go home/elsewhere will receive the below refund/credit amount based on their current fall 2020 room assignment and dining meal plan, providing they have vacated their room by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25.

We need your final plans for the end of the fall 2020 semester as soon as possible. You MUST submit your FINAL plans in your UWSP Housing Portal by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, November 11. Failure to provide your plans by this date will result in NO refund. 

To enter your plan, log into the UWSP Housing Portal and select the "Interim/Break Housing" process and select to submit your "End of Semester (Fall 2020) Plans".

Students who VACATE their rooms by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, and do not return for the remainder of the fall semester:

• You do not need to move out belongings unless you are not coming back to UW-Stevens Point for the spring semester; however, you will need to turn in their key and Saflok (Instructions on that process will be coming).
• You will be eligible for housing and dining refunds as detailed below, based on your current housing assignment and chosen meal plan, or remaining meal plan balance, whichever is less.
• All refunds will be credited to your fall 2020 university bill. If you have an outstanding balance on your account, your refund will be credited to pay/lower your outstanding bill. If your student bill is paid in full, your refund will be processed by Student Financial Services.

Students who CHOOSE TO STAY on campus at any point (even for one day) after 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, or do not vacate by 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25:

• will NOT receive a housing refund of any monetary amount.
• Will continue to have an active meal plan through lunch on December 18, 2020. Dining operations will be limited, and location operating hours will be based on the number of students choosing to remain on campus. After December 18, 2020, up to $200 Dawg Dollars will rollover with a purchase of an active meal plan in the spring 2021 semester.

The new state-of-the-art DeBot Dining Center will open in spring 2020, and we are so excited for you to enjoy all of its many new offerings and the renovated interior! Both dining options in the DeBot Dining Center will open for dinner at 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. 

The center will house two dining options: Upper Dining Hall is an all-you-care-to-eat meal experience, featuring seven themed stations with a variety of food choices prepared in front of you. Lower Marketplace will include retail dining, a convenience store, and three themed food stations. Both will have new ways to use your declining balance all Dawg Dollars meal plan during the spring 2020 semester. 

Based on feedback from a recent dining survey and leadership decisions, here are a few changes: 

How to use your meal plan at Upper: 

• There will be three meal periods on weekdays and two meal periods on weekend days. 
• You may use your Dawg Dollars (DD) at Upper for all meal periods. Breakfast will cost $5.50 DD, lunch/brunch will cost $6.75 DD, and dinner will cost $7.75 DD. Eating three meals at Upper will cost you only $20 per weekday. Carry-outs will not be allowed.
  

How to use your meal plan at Lower: 

• Use your Dawg Dollars to purchase made-to-order foods from the food stations, Fujisan Sushi, groceries in our designated Dawg Dollar shopping area and packaged grab-and-go items produced by our dining team.
• Select retail groceries and bottled beverages not produced by UWSP Dining are not available for meal plan purchases. The reduced cost for these items is in response to concerns from the survey. These items may be purchased with PointCash, cash or debit/credit. 

Other changes and notes for the spring 2020 semester: 

• The DUC Food Court’s operating hours will change with the reopening of the DeBot Dining Center. There will be lunch service Monday – Thursday. Three station offerings will rotate weekly and the salad bar will be available daily.
• The Homegrown Cafe will continue to have specialty crafted coffee drinks and drip coffee as a part of the DD meal plan, based on student requests. Select retail items not produced by UWSP Dining may be purchased with PointCash, cash, or debit/credit beginning in the spring semester.

This follows up on an email sent on October 12, 2020, to document your plans from Thanksgiving break through the end of the semester. The information has been updated regarding housing and dining since then. Students who choose to go home/elsewhere will receive the below refund/credit amount based on their current fall 2020 room assignment and dining meal plan, providing they have vacated their room by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25.

We need your final plans for the end of the fall 2020 semester as soon as possible. You MUST submit your FINAL plans in your UWSP Housing Portal by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, November 11. Failure to provide your plans by this date will result in NO refund. 

To enter your plan, log into the UWSP Housing Portal and select the "Interim/Break Housing" process and select to submit your "End of Semester (Fall 2020) Plans".

Students who VACATE their rooms by 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, and do not return for the remainder of the fall semester:

• You do not need to move out belongings unless you are not coming back to UW-Stevens Point for the spring semester; however, you will need to turn in their key and Saflok (Instructions on that process will be coming).
• You will be eligible for housing and dining refunds as detailed below, based on your current housing assignment and chosen meal plan, or remaining meal plan balance, whichever is less.
• All refunds will be credited to your fall 2020 university bill. If you have an outstanding balance on your account, your refund will be credited to pay/lower your outstanding bill. If your student bill is paid in full, your refund will be processed by Student Financial Services.

Students who CHOOSE TO STAY on campus at any point (even for one day) after 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25, or do not vacate by 6 p.m. Wednesday, November 25:

• will NOT receive a housing refund of any monetary amount.
• Will continue to have an active meal plan through lunch on December 18, 2020. Dining operations will be limited, and location operating hours will be based on the number of students choosing to remain on campus. After December 18, 2020, up to $200 Dawg Dollars will rollover with a purchase of an active meal plan in the spring 2021 semester.
