Test Information

Praxis I (PPST) - Reading, Writing and Math

The Praxis I is a standardized test, offered by Educational Testing Services (ETS), designed to evaluate abilities in reading, writing, and math.

ETS offers two versions of the Praxis I test:

  • A Computer-based test is offered at a number of test sites across the country and is available by appointment. We recommend registering 5 weeks in advance of your desired test date. Appointments are limited.
  • A Paper-based test is offered at a number of test sites across the country on specific test dates.

To register for either version of the Praxis I and for test fees, visit Educational Testing Service (ETS).

Special accommodations are available for students with documented disabilities or English as a Second Language. Accommodation forms are available on the ETS website and it can take 2-4 months to get accommodations approved by ETS.

Study guides are available at the Reserve Desk of the Learning Resource Center.
