Exhibitor Information:  STEM Career Days

STEM Career Day for Boys will have 250-350 students, teachers, chaperones, and STEM Career Day for Girls will have 450-550.  The boy's event will handle four to six one table exhibitors and the girls event can accept up to 4 exhibitors due to space constraints. Over 20 school districts are typically reached.  As groups arrive at different times, our staff needs a full hour to check everyone in.  Students are given the opportunity to explore a wide variety of STEM exhibits during this hour.
Exhibitors are asked to provide a fun, engaging, hands-on exhibit to get students thinking about STEM as soon as they walk in the door. Exhibits must be creative, provide education in STEM, be hands-on, age appropriate (7-8th grade) and be staffed during the scheduled time.  Exhibitors are not allowed to sell items at the event.

Another exhibiting opportunity

UW-Stevens Point Continuing Education sponsors the Wisconsin Destination Imagination Affiliate State Tournament each April.  The event brings over 6000 people to Stevens Point for the Saturday tournament.  In 2014, the
organization will be host its first Creativity Expo to be held in the Berg Gym.
As a potential exhibitor, WIDI Inc. recognizes and embraces the fact that many different approaches to problem-solving exist, and as a creative problem-solving organization, WIDI Inc. develops programs that teach a creative process for students to build confidence and skill to work with a diverse group of people and to solve any challenge.  WIDI Inc. and Continuing Education invites you to consider exposing the Destionation Imagination participants and their spectators to another opportunity to learn, have fun, and engage in creative problem solving whether your organization’ s focus is on science, technology, engineering, math, communication, performance and/or teamwork.
The state tournament will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014.   We are looking for up to 20 exhibitors for the first event.  More information will be available in late January, 2014.  If you are interested and want to participate, please contact Samantha Pech, Outreach Specialist in Continuing Education for more information at email:  spech@uwsp.edu or phone: 715-346-4593
