Scholarship​ ​Criteria For Eligibility
George Dixon Scholarship
$100 minimum
Number of awards may vary
 Sociology major with 3.0 overall GPA (including transfer credits) and 3.5 GPA in sociology courses at UWSP; at least a first-semester junior and not a graduating senior; has completed 12 credits of sociology at UWSP; full-time student; faculty recommendation.
Awarded: Spring
​Virginia Fish Scholarship
Amount varies
 ​Sociology major who has expressed strong interest in gender and woman's issues, or social deviance.

​Gordon Shipman Scholarship
$100 minimum
Number of awards may vary
 ​Sociology major with 3.0 overall GPA (including transfer credits) and 3.5 GPA in sociology courses at UWSP; at least a first-semester junior and not a graduating senior; has completed 12 credits of sociology at UWSP; full-time student; faculty recommendation.
Awarded: Spring
​Wolensky Family International Scholarship
Amount varies
 ​One or two Sociology majors or minors participating in a full semester abroad program in Poland, England, or any other UWSP overseas site, in that order of preference. Consideration given to academic criteria and financial need.
