Featured Event: Dance students work with local 3rd and 4th graders
Dance 420: Teaching Theories students from UWSP worked with groups of 3rd and 4th graders from Jefferson Elementary School, combining principles and ideas of dance with basic ideas of mathmatics. "The process of seeing these young people make connections between body and mind was amazing. Parent, family and friends of the elementary students were invited to share the short demonstration and performance on December 12." states Associate Professor Michael Estanich, who teaches Dance 420. "The dance area was filled with such excitement and energy as the little ones shared what they learned and expressed themselves and mathematics through movement."
