Relevant Experiences/Internships
In today’s competitive market, employers increasingly expect students
to obtain relevant experience prior to graduation. This relevant
experience may be acquired in many ways – an internship, part-time job,
summer job, temporary position or even a volunteer opportunity.
Experiences may be obtained on-campus, in the community, throughout the
United States and world. Students pursue these experiences to test their
abilities and refine their skills outside the classroom. Employers
benefit from the work students complete and also have the opportunity to
see whether they would be well suited for future employment in their
organizations/industries.
