Academic Advising

Academic Advising is an essential part of teaching and learning at UW-Stevens Point. Research shows that quality advising is the key to student retention and student success.

At UW-Stevens Point, we recognize the importance of academic advising in several respects. For example, the Teaching, Scholarship, Service document (2016-17 revisions pending until January 1, 2017) issued by the Provost and Chancellor acknowledges the important role of advising, as does the University Handbook (Chapter 5, Section 3).
