Student Research Fund
Submission Deadline: Friday, February 22, 2013 - 12:00 (noon)
The Student Research Fund (SRF) will provide undergraduate and
graduate students with funds to support expenses incurred during the
performance of, or in reporting the results of, their independent
research. To be eligible for support from the SRF, a student must be
enrolled for a credit-bearing experience at UW-SP when applying for the
grant and conducting the research, which typically is a special topics
or independent study research class under the direction of a faculty
mentor. Please note there are two different forms for SRF funds--one is for requesting funds to perform research and the other is for travel to present research results.
For the 2012-13 academic year, as an undergraduate student, you are eligible for a one-time research
award (maximum $1,000) and a one-time travel award (maximum $600). As
a graduate student, you are eligible for a one-time research award
(maximum $1,000) and a one-time travel award (maximum $600).
Also for the 2012-13 academic year, if you received a previous SRF award of $500 or less, you may apply for an additional SRF award in the amount that is the difference between the new $1,000 cap and the previous award. Your new SRF request must be for a different project.
For the 2012-13 academic year, if you received a previous SRF/Travel award of $300 or less, you may apply for an additional SRF/Travel award in the amount that is the difference between the new $600 cap and the previous award. Your new SRF/Travel request must be for a different project.
